This year when I took the cover off of our pool I
discovered it was full of tadpoles. I mean hundreds!!
Being the animal lover that I am, I could not see draining the pool and killing all of these innocent baby frogs:(
So I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and this week we will learn about tadpoles!!!
The kids helped fill an old tub
so we could "SAVE THE POLLYWOGS"
Project SAVE THE POLLYWOGS is underway!!
Here is one of the little guys almost completely developed.
Miles was very excited to help as I scooped each
tadpole out (one by one) he ran over to dump them into the tub.
Kylie took her time and watched them swim in the bucket.
She had little conversations with each one.😁
So this definitely took a while......
like the whole week!
Later we added limbs and leaves to create shade and
this will also give the baby frogs and way out of the
tub once fully developed.
We spent the week talking about development,
comparing and doing coloring pages.🐸
A week well spent...the kiddos learned a lot and
I got my pool back!!!!!
