~Mementos for Mommy~

The children wanted to make something special for Mother's Day and I saw pin on Pinterest for colorful clay bowls and it looked like the perfect surprise!

This was one of the easiest crafts for any age, using polymer clay.

The children had a great time rolling "snakes" and adding them to the outside of a mini pie pan. Any metal or oven safe container would work as long as it is non-stick.

After all the "snakes" are added simply remove and roll flat with a rolling pin.

Simply lay over the metal bowl and trim any edges.

(I don't have a pic of this but I'm sure you get the idea)

Follow instructions on your polymer clay package. Ours stated to bake at 275*F for 15 minutes per 1/4 " (6mm) thickness. 

The children had a great time wrapping their gifts. I let them sign their own name and find a hiding place in the classroom. They were very good about keeping it a surprise until the end of the week:)To Our Mommies.......
