Whether you spell it TiPi or TeePee,
the kids loved to help make the miniature
version of this Native American home.
We talked about the Indians and some things
they used as tools for living. We talked about
the Pilgrims and their big boat. I kept it basic
even though there were LOTS of questions:)
Nathan colors Indian markings on
an old cotton shirt.
Sophie's turn..
Tying on beads and feathers
Later this week we will attach
the fabric to our teepee...or tipi:?
I wanted to take a moment to focus on the Fall
weather, and today was the perfect windy day:)

Sophie's turn..
Tying on beads and feathers
These feathers are from a rooster that we will
miss dearly.. you now live in memory..
RIP Hercules..

the fabric to our teepee...or tipi:?
weather, and today was the perfect windy day:)
Brisk and windy the leaves blew and collected
in a corner of the farm..
We run to catch the leaves that trees
throw in the sky...
and we throw some in the sky ourselves;)
Sophie caught a hen this week
after many days of trying..
Her name is Orchid and
I think she likes to be held;)
Finally our Teepee is ready for us
to dance around!!

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
the wind is passing by...
