~Fallin for Fall~

We spent this week full of anticipation...our field trip to Mike's Farm was talked about daily.
We started our week making homemade chicken noodle soup!

Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe:
~2 boxes of vegetarian vegetable broth
~1 bag of hormone free grilled chicken (fully cooked)
~6 Baby Carrots, chopped
~1 bag of egg noodles
~1tsp of Basil
Combine all ingredients and simmer 1hr. Easiest recipe for kids to make!!

Adding broth to our pot and chopping our carrots.
I love these kid friendly knives from Pampered Chef.
We talk about the correct way to hold a knife and that some
knives we cannot use without a grown up's help.

Don't for get the noodles!!

Cutting our cooked chicken and adding a little basil.
We learn to keep our fingers away from the end of the knife while we work.

Mix...Mix...Mix

Just what we needed for this chilly afternoon:)

By the end of the week, we were soooo excited to go to Mike's Farm!!
Lots of friends joined us on our trip!!

We take a hay ride over to the pumpkin patch:)

So many to choose from:)

It didn't take long to find our favorite!!

Maddie found 5 that she loved the most....

I think Sophie found the biggest one in the patch!!

Now we wait to watch a magic show:)

How exciting!!

Granny Mae shows us how things were done in the old days!

How Lye soap was made...

and how it was used to wash clothes!

Mr. Willie explains what Apple Cider is..

and how this apple press was used to make it,
we all got a little taste at the end:)

Well hello, friend:)

Feeding the Lama was Sophie's favorite part of the day.

Such a cute little bunny house on Mike's Farm:)

We sit on the porch a minute and take it all in...

We could get a lot of tractor work done with these two around!!

Our Crew, what a great Fall day on Mike's Farm:)
