Mermaid project

I'm a little Mermaid,

and I live in a garden

under the sea.

I ride a seahorse and I

sleep in a clam,

I'm a lucky little mermaid,

Yes, I am!

and I'd like to invite 

you home for tea.

We'll dine on lobster

and octopus stew,

Then we'll wash it down 

with seaweed brew.

and under the ocean I'm

happy and free.

I spend all day just 

combing my hair,

and trying to decide which

tail to wear!

and my feet were very small.

Here is my foot

So tiny, so small

to hang somewhere

upon your wall.

Just for you I have made,

prints of my little feet.

Then you can remember when,

I was so small and sweet.

The pitter patter of little feet

leave behind something dear and sweet

A precious treasure for you to keep
