~Giddy Up On Ice~

This week we will have a Christmas Celebration on ICE!!
We are ready, but a little anxious...
so we needed a little coloring therapy:)

Finally we are here and just
a bit intimidated but still excited!!

Our friends show us how its done
and make us feel much better:)

With the help of a sled
we are feeling confident!

We are so proud:)

 The Giddy Up Clan<3

  Merry Christmas!!

~Cinnamon MorDaMinTs~

O' yes...you didn't know?
They're not pronounced "ornaments"
it's "mordamints" silly!!
Well, however you choose to say it,
we are excited to make cinnamon....
ummm...mordamins:p

First we add 3/4cup applesauce

Next, 1cup ground cinnamon.

We added just a drop of clove oil
for an improved scent, then mixed.

ooooo, smells like Christmas:)

Now it's time to get messy!!
Add a thin layer of cinnamon
to keep your dough from sticking.

Add your dough and sprinkle
dry cinnamon.

Roll, roll, roll the dough
gently as can be!!!!

  Arrange cookie cutters

Make your holes
using a straw and place
on parchment paper

Bake on 200 degrees for
2-3hrs until ornaments
are rock hard

Add twine and let ornament
rest for 24hrs before hanging.
Yay mordamints!!!

~Holiday Adventures~

There was so much going on this week, we planned to visit
a neighbor's farm for a Holiday hay ride. At the end of the week
we had our own campfire to roast hot dogs and SMORES,
but first the children were excited to start decorating their
pinecone Christmas Trees!!

We got started by adding glue to our trees

and our favorite part was shaking the glitter!

Shake, shake, shake!!

Later in the week we joined our neighbors
at Old River Farms for their Holiday Hay Ride:)

Lets GO!!!

We sing Jingle Bells on the way to say hello
to the cows...

Lots of MOOOOOOOing going on!!

Down the hill to the hidden pasture...

As the temperature dropped the
fire felt nice and warm:)

Snack time!!

Waiting to see the tractor drop off more friends!

The roasted marshmallows were soooo yummy!

O yes! Ring around the rosie in the open pasture....
we can't leave without doing that!

I think we started something;)

Back at the farm we added glitter
to the star for the Christmas tree...

A little hot glue and they were ready
for the mantle.

At the end of the week we roasted hot dogs
on our new firepit:)

Hot Dog, hot dog...digity dog!!

Peek-a-Boo with Romeo...

and  ready for SMORES after rest time!!!

We used Nutella instead of chocolate bars,
so I could control the amount of sugar:)

No complaints here!!
