The first day of Fall makes you realize the cool breeze is among us and we should take advantage of the long days before the time changes. I decided to spend more time outside this week and FINALLY give the kids the pony interaction they have been begging for:)
~1 Can organic beef broth
~2 Cans organic vegetable soup
~1 Cup cubed grass fed beef (already cooked; a leftover roast works perfectly)
~1 Cup Mother's Quick Barley
Mix all ingredients and simmer for 1/2hr.
Morning play before I announce that we will be spending time with "Sweet-N-Low" AKA Sugar
We pointed out Sugar's eyes, ears, nose & mouth & talked about the rules, like where we DON'T put our fingers! We discussed where we put our feet & never to stand behind the ponies!
Day 2, Children learned how to lead Sugar and we say Wooaah to stop and smooch to walk on.
Day 3, Grooming day! We learn what each brush is used for and how to use them correctly. I also show the children the bottom of the hoof and they will soon be clipped like your mommy clips your nails at home.
Chow Time!!!
Beef & Barley Soup warms our tummies:)
There is always chores to be done...and I always have helping hands.
Our potting shelf in place with pots for our fall plants, coming soon!!
By the end of the week we have playtime with Sugar & spend time getting familiar & comfortable.
Yes, I think we are ready for the saddle;)
Mr. Ritner stops by to say hello and trim the ponies.
He says "Howdy Partners" and that's all I herd for the rest of the day:)
Showing the trimming tools and how its done.
We say goodbye to Mr. Ritner and so excited to start our pony rides with Sugar.
Sophie shows us how it's done!
Nathan's Turn!!!
Such a good listener & follows every instruction:)
Much Pony Love<3
